We know how difficult it can be to get sponsorship, but by raising just £26.00 you will fund one of our glass heart keepsakes for a family to treasure forever.

As the miles go by and your body starts to ache, you can get the extra motivation you need by knowing you are doing something good. Your legs will start to feel lighter when you run with your heart.

Our glass heart keepsakes are offered to young cancer patients under the age of 25 with a life-limiting diagnosis. Each heart is engraved with a handwritten message or favourite saying and delivered to the young person within a matter of days so it can be given to their loved ones.

Each glass heart is incredibly personal to the young person and provides a beautiful gift to be remembered by. Many parents choose to keep their child’s glass heart at their bedside as a way of keeping them close, providing a special memory from their loved one that will last forever.

One of the biggest fears young palliative patients have is that they will be forgotten. Our glass heart keepsakes give young people a sense of empowerment and peace knowing they will be remembered in the way that they choose.

For young children, their glass heart may simply have their name written in their own handwriting. For older children, teenagers and young adults, their glass hearts often contain very personal messages, in-jokes, advice or memories.
